Tom Cruise Biography Thomas Cruise Mapother IV was born on July 3, 1962. Cruise was the only boy of four children and he had a rough childhood, always trying to fit in at the many different schools he moved to as his father was looking for work. In the late 70's when his parents divorced Cruise took over as the man of his house. Determined, Tom overcame his barriers to success such as his dyslexia and the knee injury which ended his chance of a future professional wrestling carreer to become one of the biggest actors of his time. He went on to star in several million dollar hit movies such as Top Gun, A Few Good Men, Interview With The Vampire, The Firm, Days of Thunder, Mission: Impossible, Jerry MaGuire...etc. After divorcing Mimi Rogers, Cruise met Nicole Kidman on the Days of Thunder set and married her in 1990. The couple have been married for 7 years and adopted two children, Isabella and Connor Anthony. Both Cruise and Kidman have said that they want to have children eventually, but when they are more ready for it.
